If you are a Business Development Manager (BDM) professional looking for an opportunity to grow, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Stafford, TX location, you will be the resident expert of high-quality level instrumentation in level and flow indication products for pumping, mixing, or heating liquids and gases. The BDM will support the North American Sales team and the Industrial Business Units, in creating a vision & strategy to grow in this market, driving increased sales & profitability.  The BDM will help elevate our Sales, Marketing & Engineering teams to be trusted advisors in the industry. This role will demonstrate our experience, technical expertise, and dedication to partner with customers to solve their most challenging liquid level gage glass, magnetic level gage, liquid level switch, and transmitter needs in the commercial & industrial boiler room and will work closely with Pressure Managements North American sales, global project pursuit, engineering and other resources including the company’s Impact Partner sales channel to create solutions for the industry, opening white spaces and new opportunities. 

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Lead market intelligence activities: market segment & trends; technological advancements; key and strategic account information; competitive intelligence, strategies, and product positioning.
  • Support the creation of Process Industry strategies: solutions roadmap, new technologies, and product development.
  • Derive value propositions by understanding the market from the customer's perspective.
  • Create solutions and solution messaging to customer needs and pains.
  • Generate and implement specific, targeted, and measurable growth plans.
  • Provide direction in optimizing methods to market for specific segments, regions, and associated messaging strategies.
  • Build relationships with key customers, identifying customer pain and key decision makers.
  • Help our sales team establish ‘trusted advisor’ relationships.
  • Participate in industry councils, committees, and trade associations.
  • Represent Pressure Management in the company’s industry groups, ensuring our inclusion in solution messaging, communicating cross-Business Unit strategy and approach.
  • Support project and account penetration planning and execution.
  • Provide direction on target accounts, travel with sales personnel, and face-face with customers.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • A minimum of 5 years working or selling in the process industry
  • Experience working with or selling liquid level gage glass, magnetic level gage, liquid level switches, and transmitters or equivalent work experience 
  • Previous work experience with cross-functional teams and at different levels of the organization
  • Ability to travel throughout North America 50% of the time

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (ME, EE, or ChE or equivalent field)
  • Advanced degree in Marketing or Business 
  • Minimum of 10 years experience working in the Process industry 
  • Direct work experience at EPC’s or OEM’s in fluid handling equipment, Tank or skid fabrication, or project management 
  • Experience working with boiler and steam applications
  • Experience with developing strategy, business development, and market analysis
