In this role you will be creating a vision & strategy on growing the Pressure Management business in this market, driving increased sales & profitability while exploiting new opportunities as they arise. You will drive the implantation of the strategy with our Regional Sales Managers and Impact Partners.  You will help to elevate our Sales, Marketing & Engineering teams to be trusted advisors in the industry.

As a Business Development Manager, you will

  • Lead market intelligence activities: market segment & trends; technological advancements; key and strategic account information; competitive intelligence, strategies, and product positioning
  • Gain knowledge of natural gas local distribution companies (LDCs)
  • Represent the company and participate in engagements with industry trade associations to understand and provide input to technical standards and specifications
  • Support the creation of Decarbonization and Digital strategies with marketing resources for our solutions roadmap, new technologies, and product development.
  • Assist in the creation of specifications for Digital and RNG/H2 integrated systems.
  • Provide input in new product development within our marketing/engineering teams.
  • Derive value propositions by understanding the market from a customer perspective
  • Create solutions and solution messaging to customer needs and pains
  • Generate and implement specific, targeted, and measurable growth plans
  • Build relationships with key customers, identifying customer pain and key decision-makers
  • Help our sales team establish ‘trusted advisor’ relationships
  • Create sales tools and provide training to customers and sales teams
  • Generate and maintain processes to share successes across all world areas; coordinate campaigns and programs to leverage ‘wins’.
  • Look at future business opportunities and put the company in the forefront as a business partner.
  • Engage with marketing and operations to ensure adequate inventory for new growth programs.
  • Work with other business units on strategic alignment, presentations, and project pursuit.
  • Engage Impact Partners on decarbonization projects and market development.
  • Work with other world areas to leverage knowledge across business units

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in the natural gas distribution industry.
  • Previous work history of training customers and giving technical presentations
  • Ability to travel throughout North America 50% of the time.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a degree that is technical in nature.   
  • Minimum of 10 years experience working in the natural gas distribution industry.
  • Understands natural gas station design, telemetry, and RNG system design.
  • Involvement with industry associations such as the American Gas Association or RNG Coalition.
  • Experience with control, data acquisition, gas measurement, and telemetry used in the gas industry.
  • Experience with developing strategy, site surveys, business development, and market analysis.
