ElevationHR is hiring two Geospatial Data Engineers for a Fortune 500 energy & utilities company’s Digital Enablement team in Downtown Houston, TX.

This is a hands-on, strategic role building the geospatial data infrastructure that powers AI, analytics, and data modernization initiatives enterprise-wide.

If you’re passionate about GIS, Azure cloud solutions, and building scalable pipelines that make data actionable this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities

• Build Scalable Data Pipelines – Integrate GIS & non-spatial data to power enterprise analytics.
• Enable Automation & Monitoring – Apply DevOps/DataOps best practices for reliability.
• Develop APIs & Services – Provide secure, performant access to GIS datasets.
• Engineer Cloud Solutions – Work with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, and data lakes.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally – Partner with Data Scientists, Solution Architects & Business Analysts.
• Optimize Performance – Tune pipelines and troubleshoot complex workflows.
• Implement Version Control & CI/CD – Use Git, Terraform, Docker/Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Data Engineering / DataOps experience.
• Strong expertise in ArcGIS, spatial data formats, and GIS concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud (ADF, Synapse, Databricks preferred).
• Skilled in Python, SQL, REST APIs & containerization (Docker/K8s).
• Familiar with CI/CD, Git, Terraform & infrastructure-as-code.
• Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and quality principles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Must be available to work hybrid onsite at 1111 Louisiana St., Houston, TX
